Abstract

Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit metabolik dengan tingginya kadar glukosa dalam darah. Dalam mempertahankan kadar glukosa untuk tetap normal, diperlukan pemberian obat anti-diabetes. Peresepan obat anti-diabetes harus rasional untuk mencapai terapi yang diinginkan. Pemberian obat anti-diabetes yang tidak rasional akan memberikan efek samping yang tidak diinginkan. Hal ini perlu diperhatikan terutama pada lansia yang memiliki kriteria STOPP (Screening Tool of Older People’s potentially inappropriate Prescriptions) sebagai panduan dalam peresepan obat yang rasional. Pengambilan data yang dibutuhkan melalui rekam medik yang berada di Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Kristen Indonesia pada tahun 2011-2015. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan SPSS 17 dan Microsoft Excel. Penetapan peresepan yang rasional akan dipantau melalui ketepatan indikasi, pemilihan obat, dan kombinasi Kata kunci : Diabetes melitus, Rasionalitas, Lansia. / Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease with high blood glucose. Anti-diabetes drugs were needed to maintain the blood glucose in normal value. The prescription of anti-diabetes drugs must rational to achieve the therapy goals. Anti-diabetes drugs used irrational will result an adverse effect of the drugs. STOPP criteria (Screening Tool of Older People’s potentially inappropriate Prescriptions) is a guide for prescribing drugs in elderly. Data was collected from medical record in Hospital of Universitas Kristen Indonesia in 2011-2015. Data processing was performed with SPSS 17 and Microsoft Excel. Rational prescribing was determined by precision of indication, drug selection and combination. Key words : Diabetes mellitus, Rationality, Elderly
